RECYCLING
GUIDELINES
ACCEPTABLE:
-
Glass
-
Plastics 1-7
-
Aluminum Beverage Cans
-
Steel and tin cans
-
Newspaper, office paper, and magazines
-
Cardboard
(All of the above items must be rinsed if applicable and otherwise free of all contaminants)
UNACCEPTABLE:
-
PLASTIC BAGS, any type of plastic film or sheeting (ie. trash bags/grocery bags)

Shredded paper
-
Food waste
-
Paper, plastic, cardboard or cans that are contaminated

Electronics, hoses, extension cords
-
Yard waste (grass clippings, wood, etc)
-
Styrofoam
-
Scrap metal, auto parts
WHEN IN DOUBT,
THROW IT OUT!
If you are unsure about whether something is recyclable or not please throw it away or call the office to find out.
Non-recyclable items severly hurt the value of clean recyclables and can damage sorting equipment greatly increasing processing costs.
If a load has been deemed to be too contaminated,
it will have to be landfilled.
